Carrie Elston Tunick

Carrie Elston Tunick is a Washington, D.C. born, New York-based artist, creating in the mediums of video, sound installation, and painting. She draws upon a wide range of topics including politics, consumerism, and religion, pursuing an exploration of the emotional realm. Elston Tunick received a BA from Yale University in 2003, and an MFA from Hunter College in 2010. She has held residencies at the Artists Alliance LES Studio Program and NARS Foundation. In 2011, Elston Tunick won the New York Art Marathon Prize, and in 2013, was awarded a curatorial grant from the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation.
